It's happening

I overslept this morning. Instead of hitting "snooze," I turned my alarm off by accident. Luckily I woke us up in time for Brent not to be late on the third day of his new job.

I should have known that this was an omen of things to come. As I drove to work, I got lost. I've been driving the same route for about two weeks now,yet somehow I turned on the wrong street and ended up lost. I found my way back, but I was late to begin with and ended up even later. No big deal, actually - just a strange way to start a day.

The weather has finally cooled down a bit, so we're able to cook in our condo comfortably. Tonight was our first homemade meal. Brent had an exhausting time at the supermarket and I went to hip-hop class, so we made a gourmet meal of ... Top Ramen. :) We may try spaghetti tomorrow.

If I feel inspired enough, I may try to make this. Doesn't it look yummy and fun?

And ladies and gentlemen, it's finally happened. Gavin DeGraw is making it big and as a result, his upcoming HOB show is sold out.... and I hadn't bought tickets yet. :( I was trying to stay away since I have a mortgage to worry about now, but the tickets were only $17.50 and I was getting ready to purchase some, with Stacie's persuasion. Now they're selling on ebay for $150 a pair. Booooo! There goes my well-kept secret.

"We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dream. Wandering by lone sea breakers, and sitting by desolate streams. World losers and world forsakers, for whom the pale moon gleams. Yet we are movers and the shakers of the world forever it seems." - Arthur O'Shaunessey
