Thanks for all my birthday wishes! I had a great day, which included a picnic and park visit with our friend Josh and his daughter Hallie. Ain't nothing like seeing a park through the eyes of a 16-month-old. Our picnic featured Bay Cities Deli sandwiches (no Weight Watchers on my birthday, thank you very much). I later napped for a couple hours and then we joined Brent's parents for dinner where I was carded before they poured my champagne. I actually do get carded quite often, but I thought it was particularly funny on my birthday.
Brent didn't get the Wicked tickets, but we're going to try again next weekend. This time both of us will go to double our chances.
Brent's parents gave me a gift certificate for Burke Williams, which I will happily use on a nice, relaxing massage and perhaps a facial. We're also looking into getting me a nice little digital camera.
Oh, and by the way, I think my license picture will turn out ok. After the DMV employee took my pic, she and another employee saw it and said, "OH! That's a good one!" We'll see if they were right when it arrives in a few weeks.
I'd be more witty and entertaining, but I'm tired. Looks like it'll be an early night for me, for once.
