Flower Power

Brent's cousin's daughter, Jadyn, is 5 years old and will be the flower girl in our wedding. After we got the ok from her mom for her to be in our wedding, I sent her a couple childrens books about being the flower girl in a wedding. In kidspeak, they outline the role of the flower girl and how important she is to wedding.

Today Brent and I received this in the mail:
If you can't decipher the handwriting, it says, "Dear Nanette + Brent Thank you for my books I love you Nanette. Jadyn" First, I think everything in this world should be written by children. I bet my press releases would get picked up more often if I sent them out in kids' handwriting. Second, I love how she says "I love you Nanette." No love for Brent, and he's related to her! :) Brent said that she and I can be pen pals.

Jadyn told her grandmother, "I'm going to be in a wedding. I'm a little nervous." And apparently she is also saving her favorite pink princess panties for the wedding. Coincidentally, so am I.

"What guides us is children's response, their joy in learning to dance, to sing, to live together. It should be a guide to the whole world." - Yehudi Menuhin

  4. Very very cute. I want to write this in kidspeak, but my grammar and this font is too uniform.

  5. You're going to hate me for ruining it, but when I first read the note, I thought it said, "Thank you for my BOOBS."

    I was like "WHAT?!?!?! ACK!"

  6. Michael - Do you have a blog? I can't get to it via your Blogger profile.

Joz - I realized the "boobs" thing, too, when I took the picture. LOL!
