Nothing too exciting going on in my neck of the woods. Working, planning the wedding, working out, eating well, blah, blah, blah. The only thing I can think of to share with you are two of my current favorite songs:
"Brighter Than Sunshine" by Aqualung - This song is like listening to a hug. Its lyrics warm my heart. How can you not love prose like this: "Love will remain a mystery but give me your hand and you will see your heart is keeping time with me." I need to get this album so I can put it under my pillow and dream of more sweet, syrupy lyrics.
"All These Things That I Have Done" by The Killers - I heard this song on the radio and was instantly hooked. If you've heard it, you can't deny that it's catchy. It is! We all have soul but we're not soldiers - and it's ok!
Coincidentally, there was a VH1 show featuring live performances of both these songs the other day. Through the magic of TiVo I captured it for repeated bliss. (I told ya there's not much going on these days...)
"Music is your own experience, your thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." - Charlie Parker

Everyone should own The Killers album (Hot Fuss). I've had it for about a year now and I can't even tell you how many times I've listened to it- it's great.

I could not agree with you more! I love both those songs. That's actually my favorite Killers song - it's catchy, but there's something different about it as well - it ain't your typical "Pop" song. As for Aqualung, he's actually playing at the Henry Fonda Theatre Sept. 21 - wanna check it out?

I love the entire Killers album too! :) I'm a little sad that I missed them the last time they were out here, but I think I might have to miss 'em again this time around. I hear their live show isn't as good.. :/
