Song sung blue, everybody knows one

One of Whitney's readers at Pop Candy asked her what are the first 10 songs on her iPod's shuffle mode. I decided to try it for myself. What I got was better than I expected:

Crush by Dave Matthews Band
Live it Up by John Legend
I only have eyes for you by Jamie Cullum
Beeds on a string by Jungle Brothers (this is from Brent's stash of music)
Booty Call by Blackstreet (I have no excuses for this, other than I was experimenting with musical tastes during my college years.)
Broken Drum by Beck
Light My Way by Rage Against the Machine
Players Ball by Outkast
Like a Feather by Nikka Costa
Yellow Submarine by The Beatles

Your turn!

  1. It's always fun to do! I may do it again soon. Lately my mp3 player has been in love with The Cure, Dave Matthews Band, and The Buzzcocks. I have close to 5,000 songs on it, but those 3 groups keep coming up randomly.

  2. I wanna do it!!! Here we go:

Eric Carmen, Make Me Lose Control (my new fav song from the 80s); U2, Angel of Harlem; Tracy Chapman, Give Me One Reason; Mamas and the Papas, I Call Your Name; Rachael Yamagata, Even So; Rilo Kiley, More Adventurous; Garth Brooks, Standing Outside the Fire; Neil Diamond, Sweet Caroline; Kelly Clarkson, Since U Been Gone; Ani DiFranco, Talk to Me Now

. . . wow. About as random as I expected it to be.

  10. I'm too embarrassed to admit aloud what songs are currently on my ipod (shuffle, as it were), seeing as how they were downloaded to be work-out music and thus boast much Britney and Christina. And there I went, admitting anyway. ; )

What I originally came on to say before I so adeptly interrupted myself was: the fact that you quoted Neil Diamond in the title of this post makes me smile. : )
