Son of a bitch

I discovered tonight that someone stole my ATM/check card number and made purchases in Carson, CA and Long Beach equaling $250. Luckily Bank of America noticed the suspicious activity and put a hold on my card, which by the way was not fun while trying to do some Christmas shopping tonight.

Who the fuck spends $100 at Starbucks and another $100 at Johnny Rockets? I want these asshats to get what's coming to them, which I hope involves glass shards, lemon juice and other agony.

I'll get everything back that they charged to my account, but I feel so disgusted. I'm seriously shaking and enraged.

UGH!

  1. That's happened to me TWICE! Its amazing how easy is is for people to get your number and use it! My boss had her number stolen and someone used it to buy $3000 worth of plumbing supplies from FRANCE!

In my case the guy bought auto insurance and cable tv! What an ass! He was so easy to find!

Ugh, that blows a big one! Last night we noticed some strange hotel video purchases on our card.. must report. Don't people have any sense of right and wrong?? Happy it at least worked out for you!

But more importantly, is xmas shopping back on? :)

That totally sucks. You end up feeling so violated. Don't worry, the universe never lets crap like that go, they'll get what's coming to them. It just would be more satisfactory if you could witness it.

I don't know if you know this already, but don't use your atm card at places where you can't see the transaction taking place for yourself, aka restaurants.

Wow - major bummer. I've had this happen twice, once with a gas card and once with my Amex, where someone spent over $5k at a Staples store in the mid-west. Your purchases sound like gift cards for Xmas. It would be funny if they could track down the numbers of the cards purchased and put a hold on them, so when the recipient tries to use them, it is blocked. That would be great karma since they will know their Xmas gifts were stolen!

  9. Someone actually took My MOM's Bank Account Number, had Checks Printed (!) and paid their Gas And Phone Bills for Three Months. The Bank caught it for her, too. It Sucks.

BTW, I made TAB drive me to Pinkberry's last night. I Loved It! He Hated It. We'll be back.

Mother effers! I wish a pox upon their privates and may a thousand fleas infest their bathing suit area. Really sorry to hear about this, but glad the bank is taking care of it.

Definitely bad karma to them! I'm sorry you have to deal with this. What a bummer.

  12. Sorry to hear you have to deal with this...I had something similar happen a couple of years ago in December. It was a check fraud ring though that washed and rewrote several checks I'd written (for a lot more money of course). I have to say Bank of America was great about it. I certainly felt violated.

  13. I just finished reading Mrs. Mogul who had a car accident and the old lady situation. People have had a lot of bad luck lately. Sorry :(

I thought someone snatched my wallet out of my purse the other night at Target. I was just about hitting total pissoffdom when I found it. It fell out of my purse and slid under the cabinet I leave my purse one.

$100 at Starbucks is probably a gift card or a heck of a lot of coffee... Glad the banks workin with ya though. Could have been much worse.
