Weekend drive-by

Even though it feels like it's only 10:30 because of the time change, I'm going to make this post quick so I can try to make myself go to bed at a reasonable time.

Ups
- Hung out with Josh and Jami. I love our nights when we just grab some food and chillax at home, chatting about this, that and everything in between.
- A great workout. 500 calories gone!
- Following that great workout with some delicous Pinkberry yogurt.
- Yummy Italian food. I enjoyed some pumpkin ravioli.
- Enjoyed Black Snake Moan. It wasn't as predictable as I thought. And I might add that Justin Timberlake did a surprisingly good job.
- Grabbed some sandwiches from our favorite nearby deli.
- GORGEOUS weather! It feels like summer, and not in a oh-my-gosh-it's-so-freakin'-hot kinda way.
- Took the sandwiches, our bikes, some reading material and hit the beach. Can you believe that in the 2 1/2 years we've lived just blocks from the beach, this is the FIRST time we actually went to the beach and sat on the sand? We've gone for dozens of bike rides along the beach, but we'd never really gone to the beach. Strange, but true.
- Did five long overdue loads of laundry.
- Cleaned out my closet and dresser drawers.

Downs
- Didn't get tickets early enough to see 300 like we'd hoped. Maybe next weekend.
- Put sunscreen on my face and ears, but didn't cover the rest of my body. And I didn't give both sides of my arms equal sunshine time, so I'm now dealing with a bit of a sunburn. Oops!
- Having to get used to this freakin' time change.

"Live. And live well. BREATHE. Breathe in and breathe deeply. Be PRESENT. Do not be past. Do not be future. Be now. On a crystal clear, breezy 70 degree day, roll down the windows and FEEL the wind against your skin. Feel the warmth of the sun." - Kyle Lake

  1. See, Jenn says I don't live in The Valley, but it was oh-my-gosh-it's-so-freakin'-hot...over 90 degrees. But nice and it sure beats the alternative of freezing like in the Northeast! : )
