Sharing is caring

I've been crazy-go-nuts these days. And today was one of those few days at work where I was able to cross off every single thing on my to-do list. I had a stack of things to edit and then either send back to the authors or off to the rest of my team. Done. All of them. Done. Off my plate and onto someone else's. We'll see how long that lasts.

Here is a fun read for you to check out when you've crossed everything off of your to-do list.

It's an excerpt from a collection of Chuck Klosterman essays called, "Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto." Brent bought the book and suggested that I read this particular essay called, "This is Emo." It speaks especially to John Cusack fans (me!) and (sorry Jen) talks some funny smack about Coldplay. More than anything it's an essay about life, love and expectations.

"She's gone. She gave me a pen. I gave her my heart, she gave me a pen." - Lloyd Dobler, Say Anything

  1. You know, I'm not so much into Coldplay these days, ever since I saw them in concert twice in one five-month period, so a little smack talk doesn't bother me.

  5. OMG (I'm so addicted to the Cingular commercial)I so wanted to marry John Cusack when I was a younger. I wanted a man who would stand out in the rain with a 15lb boombox over his to show his love for me.

  7. I'd say it's a happy coincidence that I came to your blog through Cheryl's: I hadn't heard of Klosterman, and I really enjoyed the essay, so now I've ordered the book---the lure of discovering the psychological motivations of breakfast cereal mascots is too compelling for me to resist.
