I'm in a bit of a haze as I'm quite tired from everything we've done today (5 loads of laundry, cleaning, trips to Coffee Bean, the pharmacy, Old Navy, GAP, Payless Shoes and other places along Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade). I got a bunch of great tees in black, white and red (totally on sale at the Gap - regularly $20, marked down to $7) because I'm sticking to a small color palette for light packing and easy mix-and-matching. I did such a great job with my packing, as did Brent, that we're able to limit everything to carry-ons. I'm ecstatic that we won't have to deal with checking anything. We may check a bag on our way back, depending on how many Italian purses and wallets I scoop up. We'll see.
I just checked the weather again and it looks like we'll get hit with more rain than I thought. I imagine it'll be a lot like the on-again, off-again rain we've been having here, which hasn't been too bad. Last night Brent and I just laid on the couch and watched the beautiful lightning storm. The thunder was also quite awesome.
Alright, my darling blog readers, now begins my official blogging hiatus. I'm off to the land of my ancestors. I'll probably make one visit to an internet cafe during our trip as I'm waiting to get confirmation on some museum tickets I booked, so you may get a drive-by blog post from me. Then again, I may just be too busy stuffing my face with gelato, twirling pasta on a spoon and having a "bene" time with my wonderful husband... but I'm sure you'll forgive me.
