The Florence recap may take a while. I didn't realize that we did so much while we were there! I may have to break up this city's recap over more than one post. And my wonderful husband took so many great photos, which are taking me a while to sort through and caption on Flickr. I've been working on it since I got home three hours ago.
In the meantime, I have some other thoughts to share about present-day life.
- I came back from vacation to find that my company had given out company-wide raises. Ain't nothing wrong with that!
- There's some sort of bubonic plague eradicating my co-workers. I'm heavily armed with Emergen-C and Lysol. I'm just recovering from jet lag, I don't need more health issues.
- Ever since returning to the U.S., I've been having the biggest cravings for eggs. I have egg whites for breakfast almost every day because I like the protein they provide and they're pretty low-cal. I only had two eggs while we were on vacation, and apparently my body is on a mission to make up for lost time.
- I've slowly been catching up on the massive quantities of television shows I recorded, but the only ones I were eager to watch were The Office episodes. I'm contemplating cutting back my tv consumption, seeing as how I seem to be doing fine without Grey's, Desperate Housewives and a bunch of the new shows that I was interested in.
- Brent is trying out a local figure drawing class tonight. He took classes in college and wants to get back into it. I dropped him off because the class is in our neighborhood but has extremely limited parking. I just received some emails from him, via his Blackberry. The first said, "This is so f*cking weird!" I replied and offered to come get him. He replied, "Ok. It got better. Apparently it was just the model break. I thought they were going to chain the doors and everybody was going to remove their human skins." I love that man.
"He loves me so and it all suits me fine. That funny, sunny, honey hubby of mine." - Funny Hunny, Chicago

I go through Phases where I Crave Eggs, too!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, since looking at Your Mararita Pizza Pic, I seem to be going through a Pizza Phase now.
xoxo,
TDR
egg whites, huh? never tried the stuff. congrats on the raises and tell those cw's to BACK UP!
ReplyDeleteEggs no. Pizza yes!
ReplyDeleteI'm giving up on some tv too. I'm already behind in watching a lot of things I recorded and have been disappointed in a few I've seen. I'm still loving the comedies on Thursday night of course! And Heroes, Chuck, Kitchen Nightmares and Beauty and the Geek.
Brent is funny! And I feel you on the TV thing. Turns out I don't really care about as many shows as I thought I did now that I don't have as much time as I used to.
ReplyDeletei think with missing the start of the tv season it's easy to put a lot of shows on the back burner. obviously, this isn't the case for me :-P
ReplyDeleteRaises? awesome! Congrats! Yum...some eggs sound really good right about now actually. Hope you don't catch any bugs at work!
ReplyDeleteI gave up on Greys and Desperate Housewives as well. Definitely a good decision! Hasn't the office been great this season??
ReplyDeletethis season's office has been so great so far. i can't wait until this week's episode.
ReplyDeleteack! i hope you don't get sick! something is going around at our place, too. when my co-workers get sick, i refer to it as the CUBE-onic plague, since we all sit at our own cubicles LOL
ReplyDeletecongrats on the raise! yay!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that you come back to a raise!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your raise!! Hope Brent enjoys his class!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I need to cut back on my TV consumption as well. I was telling someone how many shows I record on the DVR and I realized that I watch way too much TV!
ReplyDeletesweet, a raise! welcome home to you!
ReplyDeletei like eggs too :)
