I have half a dozen drafts saved, but can't bring myself to hit "publish post" for any of them. No particular reason, I suppose.
I've been busy getting back in the swing of things at work. I think it's going well.
And my time at work makes me appreciate my time with Em so much.
Em is sleeping great at night lately - sometimes up only once. Mommy enjoys the extra sleep.
Sunday morning Em woke up with a slight fever but no other symptoms. Took her to Urgent Care, at pediatrician's request, just to be safe. Thought it was going to be the start of an upper respiratory infection, but fever was gone by early evening. Em was extra cheerful, and just wanted to party.

She was also extra cheerful tonight when I had to pick her up from daycare and bring her back to the office for a couple hours while my team and I finished putting out a work fire. She sat in her stroller and babbled, which was great to hear as we plugged away at the task at hand. Then she sat in my lap and gave giant smiles to everyone who came to fawn over her until our team was ready to leave.
I have some fun stuff coming up (a visit to a Top Chef contestant's restaurant, a blogger party, etc.), so hopefully I'll having something fun to post.
In the meantime, check out my brother-in-law's blog. He's working in Cambodia until July/August, and his chronicles are a crack-up.
