Weekend highlights

This was a lovely weekend, and I'd be happy to have it extended a couple extra days. Oh well.

Saturday was an impromptu dad's day at our mommy group, which was fun to see. Brent wasn't necessarily eager to go along, but he was willing to go because I wanted him to. And I think he enjoyed seeing what Em and I do each Saturday morning.

Later in the afternoon we took advantage of the gorgeous weather and took Em for a stroll along the beach. We got her a new Bugaboo Bee stroller as our other stroller turned out to be too large for our needs. Luckily I found our original stroller a new home via Craigslist this weekend with no money lost. Woo hoo!

Em approves of her new stroller and finds it very relaxing.

Sunday we attended a baby shower for our lovely pal, Cee. She is absolutely adorable, and we're so excited for Em to have a new gal pal in a couple months. Congrats!

Em and I took a nice afternoon nap together, one of my new favorite weekend rituals.

We ended our weekend with a fun dinner with Jami, Josh, Hallie and Brenny. It's funny to see how our regular "dates" with them have changed over the years -- and I'm sure we wouldn't have it any other way.

  1. I can't wait to see all the sfam babies! Em looked so peaceful in her new stroller.

  2. Always on a stroller hunt ;)

    Sounds like a great weekend.

  3. You are very kind :-) We love our dinner dates, too. Even if my kids are looking at the guy behind us in the 10-gallon hat and telling me in just-below-shouting-whispers that "he can ride a horse because he is a cowboy." Oy vey.

  4. It was so lovely to meet you and Em on Sunday. I could eat those yummy cheeks of hers every day! :)

  5. aw sleeping babies are always adorable. and seriously wasn't the weather amazing this weekend? love california.
