I think about how teeny tiny she was, and how easily we enveloped her in our arms.


As all newborns do, she slept so much of the day.

Brent and I talked about how excited we were for her to become more interactive. In the meantime, we enjoyed her sleepy smiles.

And the smiles we got when she was awake were even more exciting.

While I wax-poetic about Em's newborn days , I'm happy that it's my brother's family who'll get to endure them instead of me. We're having plenty of non-newborn fun now.
