I've probably said it half a dozen times before, but I love this age. Em is chatty chatty, soaking up the world (and words) around her. Her latest word? Mustache! (Maybe she knows it's Movember?)
As you may have noticed in the video from my previous post, Em is particularly good about repeating what we say. However, it can be quite amusing when she botches the phrase. The other day I told her, "You're such a sweet girl!" She replied, "Yes, I'm a SQUIRREL!"
Slowly but surely she's learning how to use sentences and phrases correctly and on her own.
Yesterday I asked Em for a hug, which she was happy to give. She wrapped her little toddler arms around me, and without prompting, said to me in Em's sweet toddler voice, "I love you."
That was the first time she said it on her own.
Brent came home shortly thereafter to find that his wife had melted into a big ol' puddle of mommy.
