Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow

First it was Yo Gabba Gabba.

Then it was the Fresh Beat Band.

Em's newest musical obsession, however, really took us by surprise tonight.

That's Em watching a Fleetwood Mac concert on TV.

It's just a small slice of the half-hour she spent completely enthralled. She pumped her fists. She danced around the perimeter of my in-laws' living room. She jumped. She stared. She pounded the table. She squealed.

We were in stitches the entire time.

The best part, though, was the end of each song. You'll see what I mean about half-way through this clip.

By the time the performance ended, my mother-in-law had ordered a DVD of it online so Em can relive the show again and again. Too bad Brent and I aren't exactly Fleetwood Mac fans.

I'd like to think that tonight's excitement was a preview of what we'll see tomorrow when we take her to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live.

Ah, our sweet little groupie.

"And If I want to find the song 'Landslide' by Fleetwood Mac I have to remember that I bought it for someone in the fall of 1983 pile, but didn't give it to them for personal reasons." - Rob, High Fidelity

  3. Emerson loves concert videos more than Yo Gabba Gabba if you can believe it! Jeff Beck is a fave of hers, and she goes more beserk for Pearl Jam than my husband. We have the Palladia channel saved along with all the usual suspects like Sprout and Nick Jr. on our kid favorites bookmarks. It's insane.

Oh, and her favorite CD in the car is by Whitest Boy Alive. Lot easier to hear over and over and OVER than regular kiddie music.

If Em likes Fleetwood Mac she may be able to easily be converted to other bands too. E's first band she LOVED was Kings of Leon but now like her parents, she finds them passe ;)

  4. Does she ever listen to Justin Roberts? If not, she needs to! I nanny for a little guy who is almost 3 and I can listen to his music over and over and not spazz out *heh*
