Preschool confidential

We are officially the proud parents of a preschooler.

Talking about the kid, not Violet, the dog.

Brent and I both dropped her off this morning, and it went smoothly. No tears, more of a "See ya, folks!"

She's been so excited about preschool. She even woke up in the middle of the night last week, wailing, "I wanna go to preeeeeschool." Broke my heart.

I love that they complete a daily report. Em's said she was a "super sleeper," had a "full belly" and both a "happy day" and "sad day."

Under comments, it read, "We had a very up and down day. She did a great job during the lessons and playing with friends, but was very sad and missed Mommy during transition times. I'm sure it was first day jitters and we will have a better day next week. She had a great afternoon!"

Until more slots open up, she's going one day a week. Given how she couldn't stop talking about it after I picked her up tonight, I bet she'll have a smoother time next week.

  6. Oh my! I got a little teary eyed when she missed you - I totally remember missing my mom when I was at school.

Glad to hear it was a success!
