Looking through my archives, I see that every fall/winter I lament that I need to finally find some boots I love. While I liked the styling and price of the boots I got last year and got plenty of wear out of them for what I paid, in this Portland climate quality boots are actually a necessity.
I'm also having issues with the few pairs of jeans in my wardrobe. They fit perfectly out of the dryer, but in just a few hours I'm all saggy butt. What. The. Heck?! Because we're dieting, I don't want to invest too much in new jeans that may not fit too long, but we'll see.
With all that whining aside, I do have a cute ensemble to share with you. It just so happens that Em is the one wearing it.

She and Brent were playing a fairly gentle game of catch indoors (I know one day this will come back to bite us in the ass in the form of a broken vase), and each time she'd retrieve the ball, she'd exclaim with the pose above, "I got it!"
She's going through a "pretty dress" phase. The first thing she wants to do each morning is change into a "pretty dress." She has a huge dress collection, although not many of them are cold-weather appropriate. I think Santa will be picking up a bunch of sweater dresses for her.
We didn't do much yesterday, other than a trip to Target. We picked up this $19.99 bookcase. Inspired by this project on Pinterest, I slapped some contact paper on the back piece, and voila!
It's perfect for a little corner in our kitchin/dining area. I needed a place to house my cookbooks. Obviously I haven't filled the other shelves yet. I may do something like this with my cupcake liners. And it may make a good landing pad for my purse/keys, etc.
The top shelf is where Buddy camped out this morning. Em doesn't like when he messes with her toys, but she LOVED this.

ReplyDeleteI'm with you on boots. It took me a long time to find boots that I love. And I've already worn through one of them. I'm not sure I have it in me to start the quest again!
