Pinteractive!

I've proclaimed my love of Pinterest here before, and I'm excited see it growing in popularity amongst friends and strangers alike.

One of the common comments I hear from frequent pinners is that they're pinning all these amazing recipes, crafts, decorating ideas but not following through and actually trying them for themselves.

I decided to tackle at least one pin a week and share my results here, but THEN I thought I'd extend the invitation to other Pinterest addicts.

How about we each pick a pin, try it this week, post on our blogs and meet back here next Monday to share our results? I'll come up with a fun badge to include in your posts {added below}, and you can link up here.

Think of it as a great way to motivate yourself to follow through with some of the Pinterest eye candy while creating some great blog fodder of your own. A recipe? A craft? A storage solution? A fun purchase? Photo tips? Try something and c'mon back!

Sound fun? Who wants to get PINTERACTIVE* with me?

  2. I do love me some Pinterest. I've been busily cooking and crafting (at least before Christmas!) things from it for a while, but I'd love to link up. We did two recipes this weekend for Superbowl ... both were sadly disappointing, but I'm still glad we tried.

  4. Great idea! I'm in. I've been trying out a ton of recipes from Pinterest but I really want to try my hand at a craft. I've only pinned like a zillion of them. ;-)

  5. I love this! Like Sizz, I've tried tons of recipes but zero crafts. THOUGH, I don't really have time for crafts. Maybe I'll just make another recipe. A girl's gotta eat.

  8. Since I mainly use Pinterest to gather pics of hot celebrity men...I'm going to need to ponder how to go about participating without getting myself arrested for kidnapping and/or stalking. I'm totally in though...if you agree to chip in for bail money. :-)

I'd love to do this, but I don't have a blog. I've already done a few things I saw on Pinterest.

  11. Very cool - & motivating! My cousin-in-law & I do a monthly "Pinterest Challenge" where we each pick something from each other's boards to do that month. I've done way more projects in the past 6 months than I ever thought I would!

  12. I remembered your post about the bookcase whose backing was redone with contact paper so when I joined Pinterest it was one of the first things I pinned. And believe it or not, I actually followed through with it, did it and loved the result! Now, I just need to start following through on more pins too.

  15. Yay! I pin way more things than I try, but I actually tried this pizza dip recipe just this weekend. I didn't take any pictures so I guess I will have to try something else new. That dip was so yummy with pita chips so here's hoping I will find the same success with my next project!

  24. I'm in. I've been toying with this already for all the recipes I pin. I was thinking Pinterest week, where I make my husband crazy with new recipes; but it seemed daunting. One per week should be easy enough!

I managed to get the parts for my vanity project at IKEA this weekend, but that's all the farther I've gotten.
